My Panel (Before and After)
Before the new Aspen 1000 PRO we use a HSI NSD 360 and an old big gyro-compass for entering the filghtlines precisely. But after the turns the NSD need a minute for the exact heading. So we bought the Aspen with the hope of much more precision.
My Aspen Experience
The 1000 Pro is a very precise instrument. But you need about 20 hours to learn all the functions. The wind information is a bit nervous. It would be better when the displayed wind information would be the average of the last half minute. The wind information is only useable when the compass compensation is done very accurate.
