About Me

I’m a private pilot but fly a lot between my businesses so the A-36 was a great match. The avionics were old but not as old as I am, but having the need to integrate was critical.

My Panel (Before and After)

I had updated the panel with the GNS530 and MX-20 but had the old KC55a system which died so the KFC-200 was useless. Considering the problems it only made sense to toss the 55a and HSI and upgrade the whole shot with digital in one fell swoop.

My Aspen Experience

Great integration with the GNS530 and the ability to fly the approach automatically is worth every penny. Integration with the KFC-200 is a bit of a problem as it does full rate turns and wish it had the means to slew the KFC-200 in half-rate turns.
