Pilot since 1986. Hold commercial certificate and instrument rating. Based at Norfolk (VA) International Airport (ORF). Fly up and down the East Coast, including frequent trips to Philly to visit the grandchildren.

Added EFD 1000 Pro to provide redundancy and to add safety and confidence for IMC flight and IFR approaches.

My Aspen Experience

Started with the EFD 1000 Pro to provide redundancy, and to add safety and confidence for IMC flight and IFR approaches.

Followed about a year later with the MFD1000 in order to enhance the XM Weather display and use electronic charts. Added Evolution Synthetic Vision earlier this year for enhanced situational awareness, especially in IMC conditions.

Finally, in late November 2011 just completed installation of the MFD500, while also reconfiguring the panel in order to retain the redundant instruments.
