About Me

I’m an ex-airline pilot with 13,000 hour total time. I base my 310 at 3CK and use it for both personal and business trips.

My Panel (Before and After)

My panel was originally vintage 1960’s Cessna when I purchased it. It went through many upgrade interations. One of the consistent problems I encountered through the upgrade process was getting gyros to work well and perform consistently in the 8-degree tilted panel Cessna engineered into the airplane. The Aspen system has resolved that problem, once and for all!

My Aspen Experience

Flying with the Aspen Evolution PFD/MFD has been great. Coupled to my GNS480 GPS navigator and S-Tec autopilot, I’m now much closer to the kind of capability I had when I flew at the airlines. With the addition of XM weather, in some ways I now have even more capability! The learning curve has been very shallow. I find the system to be very intuitive to use and easy to quickly display the information I’m looking for in flight. What’s really impressed me has been Aspen’s ongoing customer support, willingness to listen to their customers, and continual innovation.
