About Me

Beginning my forty-ninth year as a pilot and forty-fourth year as a Certificated Flight Instructor. In 1999 I was the National Flight Instructor of the Year. I primarily teach instrument fling. The RV 6 is my second homebuilt airplane and I use it for cross country flying. I also fly a search and rescue helicopter for our local police department in Fairfield, Connecticut. My airplane is based at Sikorsky Memorial Airport (KBDR) in Stratford, Connecticut.

My Panel (Before and After)

I built my panel around the Garmin 430 with a vacuum Attitude Indicator and vacuum HSI plus an S-Tec System 30 Auto Pilot. My reason for up grading was because I like the features offered in the Evolution.

My Aspen Experience

Aspen has been a great panel addition. Since this was an early installation and probably the first homebuilt installation, I have been particularly pleased with the support both from the installation shop and from Aspen.
