My Panel (Before and After)
The Seneca II needed to be updated and the Aspen provided a way to get glass panel technology, without the high price tag of the Garmin G600 retrofit. The Aspen EFD1000 coupled with the GNS 430W are an incredibly capable team, reducing my single pilot IFR workload in the cockpit.
My Aspen Experience
Once I became more comfortable with using the Aspen, I took it on a flight where IMC was expected at our destination airport. I loaded the approach and let the Aspen and the 430W send GPSS to my aging autopilot. My workload was drastically lower. The autopilot flew the GPS approach with WASS perfectly, and allowed me to monitor the approach with greater situational awareness. I cannot wait to take it into IMC again.

About Me
I am a corporate pilot for a consulting company in the Midwest. The majority of our flying is IFR, in and out of smaller airfields to large metropolitan airports, wherever the company’s clients are located.
