My Panel (Before and After)
My panel before consisted of the usual steam gauges and a Garmin 430. I decided to upgrade because I learned to fly in a 172SP G1000. So I was already used to flying in a glass cockpit. I had read quite a bit about Aspesn’s product line and actually saw one installed in my friends plane which is an Aztec. I knew then that I had to have it. I had Islip Avionics do the installation and also put in a Garmin 530W and the JPI EDM 800.
My Aspen Experience
I love the Evolution. The GPSS steering is my favorite. It’s hard to fully appreciate when just traveling for a $100 hamburger, but having spent over 16 hours flying with it the past few days I love it even more. It’s also very easy to learn how to use. I can’t wait to get the MFD installed. I would be more than happy to show off the Aspen or take them for a flight if they are interested in it.

About Me
I am a new pilot with about 200 hours of flight time. Mostly I fly in the northeast and my flights usually last about an hour or two flying to various spots for breakfast or lunch on the weekends. My plane is based at MacArthur airport (ISP - class C ) on Long Island. Just the other day I made a long cross country to Arkansas.
