About Me

I am a private pilot with approx 200 hours. Currently working on an IFR certification, I grew frustrated with renting and decided to purchase. Once I found what I was looking for, the only logical choice was to upgrade the panel and of course include a PFD PRO 1000.

My Panel (Before and After)

The old panel included a G530 and a JPI 830 engine monitor. Because I was looking for a more modern look and feel, I already knew that some extensive work was in store. I included the aspen as part of the “new” panel and have enjoyed all 6 hours so far.

My Aspen Experience

Because I only have 6 hours to date with the aspen, I don’t think that I am the worlds authority. I can tell you that the device is very intuitive and simple to use. It has everything you need right in front of you and I am looking forward to completing my IFR ticket using it.
