Piper Arrow

My Panel (Before and After)
When I bought the Arrow, it had quite old avionic equipment, but what I primarily wanted to change was the non slaved DG. I wanted to upgrade towards a slaved HSI. Looking to the costs of “traditional” certified instruments made me consider flat display. The Aspen was ideal. For the same costs, It had a slaved HSI, AI, speed and altitude scales displayed as I was used to.
Wanting a certified modern IFR platform, I took the opportunity of the panel facelift to let install a GTX330 Mode S transponder, a GMA340 audio panel and a GTN650 to replace to old GPS150.
My Aspen Experience
The PFD 1000 Pro is very nice and easy to use. I must admit that I found back my original instrument’s cross-check while flying. Furthermore, Lambert Aircraft Engineering did a great job on the installation and on the design of the new panel.

About Me
I’m a Belgian military pilot. I totalize about 4500 H+ on several types of aircraft. On the military side, I flew F-16, SF-260 and Alpha Jet which I’m currently flying and instructing.
I flew civilian aircraft like C-152, C-172, PA-18, PA-28.
I own this 1980 T-Arrow IV for 2 years now. I bought it in UK. Upon arrival on the other side of the “Channel”, it has undergone a full restoration process (corrosion treatment, new painting, new interior) which took about 1 year.
